Van Gogh's "Irises"

11x14 hand-made stained glass piece inspired by Van Gogh's "Irise"s.  In May 1889, Vincent Van Gogh chose to enter an asylum in Saint-Rémy, France. Inspired by the nature surrounding him, Van Gogh began his work on Irises within the first week of his stay at the asylum. It is said that Irises was most likely influenced by Japanese artwork which influenced many other artists during this time.
